Are these fertility treatments all using Hijama?

While Hijama is one of the modalities used in this fertility plan at some point in the protocol, it is not the only modality used. We have found the perfect combinations of techniques to use for optimal results for fertility and womb health.

How many treatments will I need?

This is always dependent on your diagnostics. However, a typical treatment plan is as follows:

Treatment stage 1:

Aim to get your uterus healthy - wait for 2-3 periods before next treatment

Treatment stage 2:

Aim to get a strong ovulation - wait 2-3 periods before next treatment

Treatment stage 3:

Aim to remove any blockages

It usually takes about 2-3 periods to see changes in the body and to be ready for the next stage. Though the plan may be shortened depending on how your body responds, each stage may have to be repeated a few times, depending on what is being treated. Pregnancies can happen at each stage.

When should I book my appointment?

When treating for fertility, the best time for treatment depends on the regularity of your periods. Please note that regular periods don't mean that they come every month. If you have an idea of when your next period is due, please book accordingly. This doesn’t need to be followed for the first appointment but should be followed for all appointments following.

Regular periods:

If you have regular periods your appointment should be booked between cycle days 5-13. The start of your period is cycle day 1. You can be treated up until day 19 of your cycle. However, day 5-13 is most ideal for fertility treatment.

Irregular periods / PCOS:

If you have irregular periods and you are not sure of when your period is likely to come, your first treatment can be booked at any time. The initial aim will be to get your periods regulated.

Period pain / Endometritis:

If you want to reduce your pain and you are not planning to get pregnant, then the best time for treatment is around the time of ovulation between cycle day 14-21.

If you want to get pregnant, between cycle day 5-13 is most ideal for fertility treatment.

Ovulation / General womb dysfunction:

Treatment can be done at any time. However, it's preferable for you not to be on your period.

Can you guarantee I’ll get pregnant?

I wish we could guarantee that you will get pregnant. Nothing would make us happier, but it is in the Hands of Allah. WE CAN, however, guarantee that we will be using effective techniques to significantly improve your chances of success.

Does the cupping treatment hurt?

During the first treatment we perform dry cupping. The body is relaxed and the cupping is not painful. Also, there’s no blood drawn out on the first treatment, so please don’t be worried.

Give it a go – you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Can this Treatment help me if I’m planning to do IVF or IUI?

It is estimated that between about 15% of all American couples have trouble conceiving and will, at some point, look for specialist fertility treatment. In 2021, 86,146 infants were conceived through IVF, which is 2.3% of all births in the U.S. Women under 35 have the highest success rates, with a 40.5% success rate for women between 35 and 37. The success rate drops to 26.4% for women between 38 and 40, and 8.2% for women over 40

In the United States, the average cost of a single in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle is between $12,000 and $30,000. However, the total cost can be much higher because the average number of cycles needed to become pregnant is 2.5. This means that the average cost of IVF to conceive successfully can exceed $40,000.

The fertility treatment offered at Holistic Pincups, presents an attractive alternative. One factor influencing the success rate of treatment is that IVF clinics do not pay any attention to the state of the woman’s womb and overall health. This is where Holistic Pincups differ. Not only is this treatment much cheaper than IVF – the focus is on improving the health of the womb, so that it is in optimal condition to create life and nurture a baby. Whether IVF or natural pregnancy is your chosen path, this should be a priority, as we want your womb to be a healthy environment for a growing baby.

The treatments we perform are only 25% of the solution, the other 75% is you preparing your body for pregnancy. You will be given full instructions on what to do to help your body prepare for pregnancy. However, this can be a slow process, depending on how your body responds and your commitment to the process. You will need a couple of cycles and some time to see changes. It may also be the case that your body becomes ready for pregnancy and we are then waiting for it to happen. Rest assured, that if you reach this stage, it is not IVF that you need. You don’t need the invasive procedures or the expensive drugs – you need a warm, healthy womb which takes time and patience.

After your initial consultation with Shanela (holistic Pincups), she will know if we can help you and will often tell couples that they do not need to waste their time and money on IVF. Instead it is a matter of clearing the system, increasing the blood supply to the ovaries, and restoring levels of general health, in order to make pregnancy possible. She always advises both the woman and the man to make sure they are in optimum health along with doing the cupping treatments. Men are very easy to treat - sperm count can improve very quickly. I will provide instructions on how your partner can increase his sperm count and play his part in the success of your treatment.

This treatment can replace your attempts at IVF and you can get pregnant without IVF, or it will get your body ready and increase the success rate of your IVF treatment.

What if I have unexplained Fertility? Can this treatment help me?

The usual solution offered for unexplained fertility is IVF treatment. This is because the causes of infertility are not always functional. There can be nothing wrong with the reproductive organs yet the couple fail to conceive. It could be an organic reason, perhaps an obstruction or problems with the flow to the uterus, or a cold womb, that will not be picked up in a scan. Shanela will diagnose and most importantly offer a solution to address these causes of infertility, and Salwa will be conducting the physical treatments needed to make this a success.

Can this treatment help with Male Fertility?

As 50% of the DNA that will create your baby is from the sperm, the quality of the sperm is important, whether you are trying naturally or going for IVF. The healthier and stronger the sperm, the more likely it is to fertilize the egg and compensate for female infertility. So, even if there isn't an apparent male issue, healthy sperm is an important factor for successful pregnancies.

In some cases where there is low motility, sperm count, or a combination of the two, the only answers given by doctors are IUI, ICSI, or IVF. However, there is a natural alternative with Holistic PinCups. By working together, we can develop a personalized plan that addresses both partners' unique needs and helps increase the chances of successful pregnancy.

During my consultations, I work with both partners to develop a comprehensive plan that addresses any fertility issues. This includes advising men on lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements that can help improve the quality of their sperm. By addressing these issues, we can increase the chances of a successful pregnancy and help couples achieve their dream of starting a family.

Male fertility issues can be caused by a variety of factors, including lifestyle choices such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and poor nutrition. Medical conditions such as diabetes and infections can also impact male fertility. Identifying and addressing these issues can significantly improve a couple's chances of conceiving.

Rest assured that the focus is not solely on the female partner. Couples have the most success when both partners are focused on improving their fertility. By providing advice and support to both partners, I can help couples navigate the complex world of fertility treatments and increase their chances of success.

If you are struggling with infertility, book a consultation appointment with Shanela, our fertility specialist. She will provide guidance and support. By working together, we can develop a personalized plan that addresses your unique needs and helps you achieve your dream of starting a family.

We highly recommend that the male partner comes to the first appointment, especially if there are known or suspected male fertility issues. This allows me to address any concerns and advise in person on the best course of action to improve the quality and strength of sperm. By having both partners present, we can also ensure that both parties are fully informed and understand the steps required to increase their chances of success. Don't hesitate to schedule your consultation today and take the first step towards realizing your dream of starting a family.
